Golden Circle
Golden CircleThis small project is worked with gold pearl purl, silk couching thread, Japan metallic #1, and size 15 beads on a silk satin ground fabric. Since pearl purl is sold in either by 18 or 36 inch lengths and the project requires more than 18 inches but less than the 36, it is suggested that three stitchers could share 2 yards of the gold pearl purl. The project is geared to beginners but all stitchers can enjoy working the elegant disc.

Pretty Petite Fall
Pretty Petite FallThis small (2” x 3) canvas and surface stitchery by Vicky Witterschein is perfect for a stand up, small framed piece or fall ornament. If this is a project for a chapter or small group, many of the threads can be shared.

Favorite Medallion #1
Favorite Medallion #1Instructions by Harriet Scott with stitch diagrams by Melita Glavin. The beautiful medallion combines pulled thread and satin work in the manner of Hetsie van Wyk of South Africa. The basic count for the pulled thread stitches is three, not the more common two or four so careful counting is essential to create the beauty of the combined techniques.
