Orlando has so much to offer for you and your family. Consider coming early or staying longer. While there is plenty to do at the theme parks, we are also a short drive to Cape Canaveral and the space center and the beaches. Winter Park is a short drive away and is home to the Morse Museum which has a huge display of Tiffany glass.

Airport Transportation and Wheelchair Information
Hotel and Arrival Information
Airport Transport
The hotel does not have direct airport transportation. Uber and Lyft both pick up at the arrivals level where you get your luggage (level 2 in terminal A and B, level 6 in terminal C). Taxi pickup is on level 1 in terminal A and B. On the A Side they use spaces A 22-25, the B side uses spaces B 30-34 and if you are arriving in terminal C you will find the taxis on level 6- the arrivals level. If you are coming with more than two people you may want to look at Viator- they offer airport transportation to and from the hotel area. While there are companies offering shuttles they only go to the Disney area hotels and not the convention area hotels we are staying at.
Wheelchair info
There are two companies the hotel recommends. Both will deliver and pick up your scooter to the hotel
KM Rentals
Our scooters come in both 3 and 4 wheels the smaller GOGO has a weight capacity of 300lbs and the larger scooter is the Victory has a weight capacity of 400lbs. For this hotel we do not need to meet for the delivery or the pickup. Our pickup time Is 11am. The driver will drop off and pick up scooters at the bellhop. GOGO Price for a week is $220.00 Insurance is optional onetime fee of $20.00 for damages. Victory Price for the week is $250.00 Insurance is also $20.00 onetime fee for damages. We charge 2 days prior to delivery. Please ensure to book reservations ahead of time either by phone or through our website www.km-rentals.com
We are open from 9-4pm 7 days a week. 407-363-738
Scoot around
Attendees may book on our website (online) using the chat feature or call our toll-free number 800-441-7575 to speak with one of our experienced customer service representatives.
We’ve set up a dedicated booking link that you can share with attendees so they can reserve their equipment directly for the conference dates: https://scootaround.com/en/ega-wish-upon-a-stitch-2026
Once you arrive at the hotel
Room registration is to the right of the entrance. This is the ground level.
You will either be in tower 1 or 2. If you are in tower one you have direct access to the classrooms and registration. This is also the smallest and oldest tower. Tower two is a short walk across the lobby. From this tower you also have direct access via a walkway to the classrooms on level 3. To reach the seminar registration level you have a few options. From tower one takes the elevator to level C, then go to the left. We are outside the Plaza ballrooms. If coming from tower two walk past the lobby and either take the elevators to level C or walk down one flight of stairs. There may be an escalator option- it was closed due to construction on our last visit. Please note that if you are in tower two level G or first floor does not connect to the convention area. You must either go thru the lobby on or level 3
All classrooms and event rooms are stacked in this area- we are on level C (the lowest level) for registration, exhibits, pop up shops and banquets. Classes are on level 3 and 4. Do not panic when you see the size of the convention center area- we have a very small footprint and do not have to walk end to end. Now if you want some exercise walking the convention center area is great for indoor walking.
Where to eat
The hotel offers several places- Descend 21 – a sports bar on the pool level in tower 2, a pool bar open during the day, Rocks, a lobby bar with light snacks. B Line Diner opens for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Fiorenzo and Icharo open in the evenings and The Market- open 24 hours. The Market has an option that will let your preorder your food to be picked up at your choice of times. This is a great lunch option. We will not be having a grab and go during lunch this year.
A short walk from the hotel is The Pointe, Orlando. This is home of several restaurants including Maggiano’s, Capital Grille, Oceanaire Seafood, Cuba Libre, Dicks Last Resort, JoJo’s Shake Bar, Kavas Tacos and Tequila, Palm Tree Club, Rodizio Grill, Sals Pizza, Taffers Tavern, Taverna Opa, The Hampton Social, The Pub and Zukku San Sushi.
There are numerous other restaurants on International Drive.
Things to do
The hotel is very close to all things Universal including the new Epic Theme Park. Sea World is also nearby. Disney is just a little bit further, but all are easy to get to.
The I Drive Trolly has a stop just outside the door. We will have information on this in your welcome packet. There are several fun attractions and restaurants along the route.
If you would like to go further afield, the Morse Museum in Winter Park is home to a vast collection of Tiffany Glass. This is on Park Avenue and the shopping street in Winter Park- lots of cute shops and restaurants as well as a boat ride on the chain of lakes await you there.
And on the coast, we have Cape Canaveral- home of all thing space. Hopefully there will be a rocket launch during Seminar. It can sometimes be seen from the hotel area if the weather is clear.
