Shake off the winter chill and join us for WinterStitch, a new virtual event celebrating needlework, creativity, and community!
Settle in with your favorite stitching supplies and connect with fellow needleworkers for a special event designed to brighten the coldest days of the year. Whether you are ready to discover a new technique, begin an inspiring project, or simply enjoy time stitching alongside friends, WinterStitch offers the perfect opportunity to learn, create, and share the joy of embroidery from the comfort of home.
We will also have stitch-alongs where students can continue to get together to stitch on their class project via zoom and a general session to share all the great things going on with EGA education and our 2027 National Seminar, in Tucson, AZ.

Get a jump start on Christmas with this fun Christmas Tree! This class mixes metal embroidery with beading. Techniques include metal loops, beading, applying leather kid, pearl purl and chipping. What a unique display for the holiday season. Dates and times of class: February 20 and 21, 2027, Noon- 2:30pm EST

Students will explore the construction and embroidery of a Color-Changing Chameleon hanging ornament, combining goldwork and stumpwork techniques to create smooth color transitions, rich surface texture, and dimensional form. Dates and times of class: February 13 and 20, 2027 10am EST- 5pm EST, with a one hour break

Blossom of snow, may you bloom and grow… Edelweiss. Using shimmering threads of white on Antique Blue canvas your garden will be stitched with Crescents, Jessicas, Sprats Heads and Wrapped Eyelets. Our garden will grow using silks of Elegance and Petite Silk Lame’ Braid and to capture the glisten of snow we will use Crystal Braid and Glisten. For additional radiance pearls, crystals and beads will be added for depth and luster. Dates and times of class: April 3 and 10, 2027 at 7pm EST for one hour, a third session may be added if class participants and Kurdy feel it is needed.

This jewel-encrusted Bumblebee is a stunning design, featuring a large crystal as its thorax. The project incorporates a range of traditional goldwork techniques, including padded goldwork, basketweave, chipping, and pearl purl, creating rich texture, depth, and visual interest. A winter scape theme bag/purse. This bag is fully lined and has one outside pocket (the mountains) and one small inside pocket. The outside of the bag is star printed cork fabric and luxurious pearl faux leather. The inside is cork fabric and Sensuede fabric. The back of the bag and the inside fabrics may vary in color. The beaded scene on the front has many crystals which add plenty of bling. The crossbody strap is chain and leather. It also comes with a Yeti appliqué which is optional to add to the front. Dates and times of class: February 6 and 27, 2027 11am – 3pm EST
