Today we are bringing you news from two of our chapters, the Cheekwood Chapter in Tennessee and the Southern Maine Chapter in Maine. We encourage you to learn more about them by clicking on their names and contacting them if you’d like to join them!
Cheekwood Chapter
The Cheekwood Chapter is displaying a large number of embroidery pieces at the Brentwood library in Brentwood, TN through the end of September. The theme for the exhibit is pieces from regional and national seminars, international teaching tours, chapter workshops and programs, and projects like the Ambrosia Honey first seen in Needle Arts. So in other words, not just a pattern purchased and stitched.
Additionally we displayed bookmarks stitched for our on-going outreach giveaway for 2nd graders in Bedford County Tn. And we also displayed ornaments for our annual public Christmas tree in Shelbyville, TN. This year’s theme is O Holy Night.
Twelve members participated, displaying over 200 pieces.
