Cheekwood Chapter
For the 39th consecutive year, the Shelbyville Satellite group of Cheekwood Chapter has decorated a tree for a local financial institution. This year’s tree is at Heritage South Community Credit Union. The theme is Winter Wonderland.
We’ve already had one inquiry about joining our chapter after a local resident saw the tree!

Pikes Peak Chapter
Carolyn Standing Webb is coming to Colorado Springs, CO!
We are excited to announce that Carolyn Standing Webb will teach two projects that are exclusive to Pikes Peak Chapter; you will not find these projects being taught anywhere else, so do not miss out on this incredible opportunity! As a renowned pulled work teacher, Carolyn says, “Pulled thread has always been like stitching magic because pulling the linen thread creates beautiful open lacy patterns that do not look like the stitches that created them!” Your chance to explore Misty Morning Row will be on Thursday and Friday, May 15 and 16, 2025 and Evening Primrose Pincushion on Saturday, May 17, 2024.
“Ghost” stitchers are allowed! This means that if you are unable to attend in person, you can still get the kit and work on the piece with your friends after the class is over. What could be better?
Misty Morning Row
In this two day class you will learn how to use counted thread patterns to work a number of open pulled thread designs. After creating those areas, you will add other surface embroidered touches to finish this row of flowers, leaves, and fun creatures. Antique buttons and several kinds and colors of beads finish your design. The original is stitched with white pearl cotton and stranded cotton on natural linen.
Your kit includes two sizes of white pearl cotton, stranded cotton (floss), beads, antique buttons, needles, and some finishing supplies along with your choice of natural 32 count linen or the traditional white 32 count linen; however, you may supply your own 12” x 20” piece of 28 or 30 count linen if you wish. Finished size is 4” x 17 ½”.
Several different ways to finish your Misty Morning Row are included in the instructions, including how to finish the round box. (Please note, the box itself is not included, however Amazon purchasing instructions will be shared. At press time, the box was available for about $7.00.)
Member registration fee: $85 (Kit fee $60 plus $25 registration fee)
Nonmember registration fee: $155 (Kit fee $60, plus $95 registration fee)
Ghost stitchers: Add $15 for postage to your member or nonmember registration fee if you want the kit(s) mailed to you.
Evening Primrose Pincushion
In this one day class, you will create a pulled thread Primrose floral motif using several different pulled thread designs, four-sided stitches, and antique buttons. It is easy to assemble as either a square pin cushion or biscornu that coordinates with Misty Morning Row but is just as stunning alone. You will have two choices for the back.
The kit includes two sizes of white pearl cotton, stranded cotton (floss), beads, antique buttons, needles, and some finishing supplies along with two pieces of your choice of natural 32 count linen or the traditional white 32 count linen; however, you may supply TWO pieces of your own 6” x 6” 28 or 30 count linen if you wish. Finished size is 3” x 3”.
Member registration fee: $43 (Kit fee $18 plus $25 registration fee)
Nonmember registration fee: $68 (Kit fee $18 plus $50 registration fee)
Ghost stitchers: Add $15 for postage (in the pink section of the spreadsheet) to your member or nonmember registration fee if you want the kit(s) mailed to you.

There will be an $8 discount on your kit fee if you are taking both classes for both members and nonmembers. If you are ghosting both classes, you will pay a combined shipping fee of $15 to ship both kits.
