Needle Arts Guild of Toledo celebrates their members by showcasing their beautiful stitching

Our mission at EGA is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage. As part of that mission, our Needle Arts Guild of Toledo chapter in Ohio, established their Annual Needle Arts show in which they celebrate the beautiful needle work of their members.

Here’s what Marianne Mussett, the Needle Arts Guild of Toledo chapter membership chair,  had to say about their show:

A couple of years ago our guild decided we wanted to celebrate some of our members who have been stitching for a number of years. The next part was easy, our Annual Needle Arts Show would be the perfect place to display the work of these amazing stitchers.

The photo above, taken by D. Myers, is from our 2018 Annual Needle Arts Show and showcases the beautiful stitching of longtime member Anna Kerlin.

In these pieces you will find a variety of techniques: counted cross, surface embroidery, canvas, and crewel. As if her stitching wasn’t enough, each piece was finished beautifully by Anna whether it was framed or soft finished.
