Stitch-in-Public Day with our Hagerstown Chapter in Maryland

Members of the Hagerstown Chapter In Maryland were anxious to get out of their homes and take advantage of the lull between winter storms to celebrate Stitch in Public Day.

Beth Kraenbring and Darlene Leboeuf spent the morning at the Myersville Indoor Farmers’ Market. They had a display of various needlework techniques in both “finished” and “maybe I’ll get back to that project this year” formats while trying to work on the chapter’s recent Lacy Scissor Case project. Although the scissor cases were not completed that morning, it was primarily due to the steady stream of interested visitors (including some other Hagerstown Chapter members).

Barbara Brittain stitched her way through the afternoon in the Lee Delauter & Sons country store.

It was rewarding to visit with such a diverse group of stitchers: experienced, some who have been away from it for a while and some who haven’t tried it – yet! Everyone enjoyed answering questions and sharing information about needlework and EGA. They shared the EGA Brochure and latest Chapter newsletter with many interested folks. They are expecting to see at least a few new faces at the upcoming chapter meeting. – Darlene Leboeuf
