Lacy Pin Cushion
Become familiar with eight different Pulled Thread fillings!
Lacy Pin Cushion is a Pulled Thread embroidery piece. This pin cushion measures approximately 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch in height when finished. It is stitched on 28 count linen. There is no kit for this project giving students the opportunity to pick a color of their choice. This would be a good stash buster. The thread used for the fillings must match the fabric color choice.
Students will become familiar with eight different Pulled Thread fillings with this project. Compensation stitches and tension will also be discussed. After practicing the fillings, students will decide the number and placement of the fillings to the pin cushion to create a one of a kind design. There will be a choice in finishing the pin cushion with seeds beads or Detached Buttonhole edging.
Experience with Pulled Thread embroidery would be beneficial but is not necessary. The written instructions will include step by step stitch diagrams and photos of the filling patterns and finishing. There will be no video instruction for this online studio class.
Registration is now closed.
