Designers Around the World – Medieval Goldwork Techniques: Padded Diaper Square

$10.00

The Acupictrix, aka Dr. Jessica Grimm, created this piece using a technique no longer used in modern goldwork. She found it on a group of vestments made in Central Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries. The pattern is meant to appeal to goldworkers new and experienced. “As with all other embroidery techniques, start simple and build up your skills,” she advises.

This PDF pattern is available for purchase by EGA members until August 31, 2025. A yearly digital subscription to the project series(four projects per year) is available by ordering online here with payment for $35— a 10 percent savings over ordering individually.
