Crewel Pilot Stitchers Needed

Crewel Pilot Stitchers Needed! – Experienced crewel embroidery stitchers, who are willing to serve as pilot stitchers during the development of the Technical Excellence in Crewel program, are needed during spring and summer 2024.

Specifically, the development committee is looking for about 8 stitchers to stitch one of the four steps in the program. Pilot stitchers are expected to obtain the supplies specified in the instructions, stitch the piece by precisely following the instructions, complete a detailed feed-back form, and then mail the form and stitched piece for evaluation, all at their own expense and within a 4-week time period.

This piloting will serve as a means for refining the four steps, designs and instructions. Serving as a Crewel Pilot stitcher will not fulfill the criteria towards completion of the Technical Excellence in Crewel program because there will likely be changes to the design as a result of the pilot. Yet, each design is interesting, challenging, and would make a lovely finished piece for your personal collection.

So, are you up for the stitching challenge? If so, send an email to Linda M. Dean, TE-Crewel development coordinator, at DeanLindaM@aol.com.
