EGA’s Laurel Chapter in North Carolina donates 150 Stitched Bookmarks

Our Laurel Chapter in North Carolina creates handmade, stitched bookmarks each year for the Henderson County Library’s Youth Coordinator and for the Blue Ridge Literacy Council.

This month the chapter members donated 150 bookmarks. As this is an annual outreach, our total bookmark donation over the past six years has been over 750 items!

The bookmarks are all unique and are done with a variety of techniques including counted cross stitch, felting, surface embroidered paper, ribbon, darning and perforated paper. The patterns for several of the bookmarks can be found in the following links:
