July 2022 Stitch-a-long: Stitch “A Little Piece of Art,’ a Japanese Boro and Indian Kantha piece

A Little Piece of Art By Sarah Weld

For our July stitch-a-long on Facebook we are stitching ‘A Little Piece of Art,’ a lovely Japanese Boro and Indian Kantha Embroidery project. A link to download the project is available below.

Here’s a little more about this month’s project from stitch-a-long admin Helena Whyte:

Here is the July 2022 SAL project, A Little Piece of Art, just in time for Independence Day and in line with EGA’s recent posts about upcycling projects. Rocky Mountain Region and Pajarito Chapter member, Sarah Weld, created the Japanese Boro and Indian Kantha piece using fabric scraps and the running stitch.

Please post pictures in the EGA Stitch-A-Long Facebook group when you’re done!
