Join the Great Lakes Region’s Stitch-In in September and Explore an Exhibit of Egyptian Embroidery

The Great Lakes Region is having a stitch-in, in coordination with an exhibit of Akhmim embroidery at Grailville, in Loveland, Ohio, on the north-east side of Cincinnati.

The region was alerted by one of the authors of an article in the December 2020 edition of Needle Arts that this Egyptian exhibit would be in our area, and invited all members of EGA to visit. GLR took them up on the offer, and now we have another stitching event to share with our members.

Saturday, September 23, 2023, we will meet at Grailville (931 O’Bannonville Road, Loveland, OH 45140) beginning at 9:00 am for our stitch-in. Folks would have time to explore the exhibit before a Zoom presentation about the embroideries at 11:00 am, then be able to go back and look further at the exhibit after the presentation. Folks are welcome to bring a lunch or go out. Our stitch-in will run until 2:00 pm at Grailville, with time in the afternoon to check out local stitching shops or a late lunch. We will reconvene in the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn in Blue Ash to stitch as long as we wish!

While there is no fee to attend, we do need to provide the number of people who will attend so we are using an online registration form. Click on the following link to register online:
