Pearls and crystals and sparkles, oh my! In this elegant design you will explore a variety of stitches including Walneto, padded Mistake, Crescents and Sheaf. Using a bronze canvas as a backdrop and a palette of ivory and gold threads, you will transform it into a beautiful, opulent box reminiscent of times past. Once stitching is complete, over 350 Swarovski pearls and Topaz crystals will complete this striking piece which may be finished into a box or cube. The class will include finishing demonstrations for both a box and a cube.
Here are some of the techniques that we will explore on this class:
• Layering of a stitch as it relates to color choices in both the Padded Mistake stitch and the Walneto stitch
• Learn how to lay stitches over stitches that have already been laid in the padded Mistake stitch
• Learn the basic technique for Walneto stitches
• Learn the proper way to attach the 286 pearls and 144 crystals; both singly and in Pearl/Crystal clusters.
