Registration is now open for our online class Box Making: Parisian Patisserie by Sarah de Rousset-Hall

Registration is now open for our online class Box Making: Parisian Patisserie by Sarah de Rousset-Hall!

In Box Making: Parisian Patisserie you will create a beautiful embroidered box, reminiscent of the beautiful boxes seen in the patisseries of Paris, containing all sorts of delicate treats.

The outside of the box is covered in an Eau de Nil coloured cotton, with embroidered monogram on the lid (you will be able to choose your letter) and Appliqued Nottingham lace around the top edge. The inside of the box is covered in a macaron print fabric, hinting at what you might find inside. You will be able to choose the letter you include for the box monogram so that you can personalize it for yourself or a loved one.

The course is split into three sessions comprising: Interior Box construction, The Exterior box construction and the Box Lid construction.

The techniques include: Trailing, Feathered Chain Stitch, how to accurately measure and cut card for box making, two methods for covering card, using curved needles and how to stitch together your box pieces.

An optional kit is available, or you can use your own supplies.

Registration closes on November 2. The PDF Lessons and Videos for the class will be posted to the class page bi-weekly starting January 4, 2023. A great way to start the new year!
