EGA Discussion Group 7 years, 7 months agoDoes anyone know of an online class to teach judging needlework? I was asked to do it for my local fair, but did not feel qualified.

NAN, the National Academy of Needlearts offers a judging certification program. Please check their website http://www.needleart.org. NAN also has published ‘A Needleart Judge’s Reference’

Thanks for the info!

There are also a few judging books in the EGA library. All three guilds have a judging program. I happen to think that EGA’s is the best, but none of them are all on-line. What area are you in and maybe there is an EGA certified judge that can tell you more.

Hi Beth, our Certified Needlework Judges Program guides and assists prospective judges in developing and refining their ability to evaluate needlework. And while it’s not online, you can learn more about it here: https://egausa.org/product/needlework-judges-program/
