Hello Stitchers and welcome to the Star Spangled Sampler class!
I am looking forward to teaching this online class and (virtually) meeting all of you. The first lesson will be posted August 2, 2023, and the following lessons will be posted August 16, 2023, August 30, 2023, and September 13, 2023. I will be available to answer questions via the class forum during this time.
The instructions will include detailed diagrams for each stitch in the sampler. The instructions also include the chart in color and in black and white. Links will be available for videos where I will discuss and demonstrate each stitch. During these videos, I will be giving a short history of the Star Spangled Banner. A bibliography will be provided for further research if desired.
You will need the usual stitching supplies such as scissors, lighting, and extra magnification, if needed. A scroll frame is recommended, but not required, for this sampler. You can use whatever is most comfortable for you – in hand, hoop, or Q-snaps. There is no pre-work needed for this class (Yay!). The supply list will be provided separately and detail any other items you might need.
