Fiber Forum will open registration for their 2025 retreat to EGA members Sunday, September 1. Registrations are accepted no earlier than 9:00am Central time. At this time the class is full but historically, a number of people are cleared from the waiting list each year, so if seats are taken when you register, it is important to get your name on the waiting list as there is a possibility of getting cleared.

Discover a creative approach to goldwork embroidery! Open a world of possibilities to experiment with and explore within this centuries-old art form. This workshop gives embroiderers of all levels of experience the opportunity to get creative and explore the possibilities of metal thread techniques
such as: couching with metal threads and chipping / cut work with metal purls.
Hanny will help participants see these beautiful techniques from a fresh perspective and move beyond the rules of goldwork – from ‘Can I..’ to ‘HOW Can I’. Her classes are full of technique demonstrations (using a close-up camera where possible), idea-gathering class discussions, slides of modern and historical stitch inspirations, and space for individual feedback.
