Here is a photo of my colour selection. As I mentioned previously the gray is the outline.
I would like to work from palest to dark going from top to bottom.

Are there any chapters planning on doing the Stash Monster GCC? I would love to join a group and participate.

Me, too! In this day of Zoom why not a Zoom GCC? In fact, our chapter’s last GCC did not meet in person after about 5 months, and that was before COVID. It is also true I am the only one to finish and send for evaluation so far….
How could we gauge interest and get more interested people? -
Ladies, I am a member of the Washington DC Chapter and live in Northern Virginia. Where are you all located? The one issue I can picture (from my 1 GCC) is that the systems relies on having a Class Coordinator to receive Course Materials, send in finished projects, and generally organize Stuff.

Hey. you all might want to suggest that EGA have this course as a Lightning Round–that would help you all out! I have to do Stash Busting, too, but it’s going to take me a LLLLLOOOOONG time–I have 40 years worth of accumulation…sigh.

John I have looked at my colours again in light of you saying that some of the colours are to close to each other and may not be distinguishable. I would not use these in the actual needle point side by side. I have also chosen my glittery threads. I have measured out my canvas and found the centre.

I rethought my colors and here they are. Even though some of the silks are close to the floss colors, I think the sheen difference will make them work.

Ta-DAH! I finished it! 4 years, 11 months agoThis is the first of twenty pieces I’m doing for a stumpwork double casket. (The four seasons double casket by Tricia Wilson Nguyen of Thistle Threads.) This will end up on the inside of the right-hand door.

This is beautiful, Tim. On the INSIDE of the door???? Really!?!?!? Hard to hide something like this. Keep posting your progress— most of us are envious!

Well, something had to go on the inside. There are another 18 panels on the outside. Those will be needlelace and other common stumpwork techniques. I think Tricia decided to put the silk-wrapped purl designs on the inside to help protect them; if the purls are snagged they can easily be bent out of shape.
