Skyllkill Chapter‘s Art of the Needle 2018 Show was held April 13-15, 2018 at Locust Grove Estate, Poughkeepsie, NY. Some 60 members of the chapter offered 263 pieces of needle art for display, covering a multitude of techniques. This was the chapter’s 22nd show, and the second one in the new Locust Grove location; it was a great success across the three days.
Over 500 people came to admire the work of Skyllkill’s members. They also enjoyed live demonstrations including Cross Stitch, English Paper Piecing, Japanese Silk Embroidery, Lace Knitting, Fabric Applique, Gold Work, and Stumpwork. Chapter members had also worked hard through the year to stock the Boutique with hundreds of hand-stitched items that visitors enjoyed shopping for.
