Chapter News: Louisiana Lagniappe Chapter attends Maker faire at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library

Today we are bringing you news from our Louisiana Lagniappe Chapter in Louisiana. We encourage you to learn more about them by clicking on their name and contacting them if you’d like to join them!

On Saturday, October 7,  members of Louisiana Lagniappe Chapter of EGA attended the annual Maker Faire at the East Baton Rouge Parish Library. The Maker Faire is touted as the Greatest Show & Tell on Earth and brings together all sorts of hobbyists sharing their passion for making things. The Louisiana Lagniappe group considered it a stitch-in and members brought their current WIP to work on and share with the public. We had a Mini-Kit business card made up for a make and take. Many of the folks that stopped at our table to look at all the beautiful stitching going on shared pictures of their embroidery work. It was a wonderful day to share our love of stitching. Two of the ladies that stopped by to chat have joined our chapter.
