Fiber Forum invites you to a lecture on ‘Stitching Light: Building Color with Thread’ with Katherine Diuguid

EGA Fiber Forum invites you to join us on Monday, November 7 for a free Zoom Lecture with Katherine Diuguid. Your local times are 8:00pm Eastern, 7:00p Central, 6:00p Mountain, 5:00p Pacific.

The topic of Katherine’s one-hour Lecture is “Stitching Light: Building Color with Thread“. In this presentation, Katherine will discuss her research investigating how to apply Impressionist color theory and the effect stitch choice can have on color perception. The work presented will include her experience stitching in the Impressionist Gallery at the Art Institute of Chicago studying Monet’s Haystacks and her ongoing color explorations from her Penland Winter Residencies where she applied the principles learned from Monet in the gallery to her own series of landscapes.

You must register with Jenna McClooney at jennalee@hotmail.com to attend this lecture. If you are interested, please register by November 2.
