EGA’s Dorothy Babcock Memorial Library now has over 4,000 Needlework Titles

EGA is excited to let you know that the revamp of the EGA needlework library is complete, and there are now more than 4000 titles for you to choose from and check out.

In 2019, EGA received almost 2000 books from one member’s estate. Louisville Chapter volunteer Karen Bibb started sorting and cataloguing, and then – well, covid. After a two year absence from the office in 2020 and 2021, Karen returned to the task in 2022, and now all the new and existing titles are available on the EGA website. Many thanks to Karen for her meticulous work, without which this huge task would not have been possible.

The Dorothy Babcock Memorial Library consists of a lending library of more than 4000 needlework titles and a non-circulating reference section of rare and historic materials. EGA members may check out up to four books for six weeks for only the cost of postage ($4 for one, $6 for two, $8 for three, and $10 for four). Books ship USPS media rate, and can be returned the same way (return postage is also the responsibility of the member).

Head to the Library page, and see what books you’d like to borrow.
