The deadline for entering a work for the Bobbie Pilling Memorial Award is rapidly approaching.
Have you stretched yourself…to be creative, to experiment, to go beyond your comfort zone by thinking “outside the box”? Have you taken the traditional and turned it inside out using stitches and materials in an unusual and modern way? If you created an original work of embroidery with artistic merit and that shows your growth as an embroiderer – that you pushed yourself beyond your comfort zone – consider entering one work for the Bobbie Pilling Memorial Award.
The electronic entry (application, artist statement and photo of the work) deadline is September 1, 2025. Your work does not have to be completed by Sept. 1st but the entry needs to be submitted by that date. Shipping information will be sent upon receipt of entry. The works with the artist statement will be judged and then exhibited at the national seminar in Dallas, TX. You will need to send a prepaid shipping label when you send the work. Further information and the entry form can be found here or contact bobbiepillingaward@egausa.org, subject line Pilling Award.
