Beth Carlson is the new chairman of our Master Craftsman: Quilting Program

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Carlson, from Chico, California as the new chairman of our Master Craftsman Quilting program. Beth has been interested in textiles, fiber arts and needlework since the age of 5, when her grandmother, who owned a yarn shop, taught her to knit. Beth is a member of our Camellia Chapter in Sacramento, California.

Beth has taken advantage of opportunities to study design and techniques with EGA, ANG, the Royal School of Needlework and various quilt guilds and local shops; she has been an EGA Certified Judge since 1993. In October of 2018, Beth had 2 original quilts juried into the Pacific International Quilt Festival in Santa Clara, California. We are excited to welcome Beth on board to head the Master Craftsman Quilting program!

We would also like to acknowledge and thank Eunice Porvanik, outgoing chair, for her dedication and work on the MC Quilting program since 2011. We wish Eunice the best! – Catherine Jordan, EGA MC Coordinator
