I have been doing some research for a new design and looking at the portraits of the women and men of the Tudor period – think Elizabeth I or any of the wives of Henry VIII. There is some interesting blackwork on the clothing. It is fun to see just how the blackwork that we do now has historical roots.

I’m working on the Elizabethan plum tree for now, as I think I have time to finish it before I start cranking out this year’s Christmas ornaments. nothing much I have joined EGA and enjoying myself and there is so much to learn. I have taken a class on gold embroidery. Enjoyed it and still working on it thus it will take time to learn gold embroidery.
