OK John. Let’s try again. I have broken down the one photo into six. My apologies, since it is raining heavily today in NJ, the colors don’t come across as bright as they might. I can assure you they are cheery colors. One photo is just of the overdyes next to each other. One photo is of the solids. On the picture of the solids, there is a…[Read more]

I’m not quite ready Jennifer. I can’t find instructions for the New England Laid Stitch. Is that what you used on the bird and can you advise where to find that instruction? Thanks in advance for response. I don’t want to do it wrong.
-
Hi,
The New England Laid stitch is on page 18 of “The Perky Bird” which is the third part of lesson 2.
-
Thank you so very much. My mistake as I only printed one set of Table of Stitches. Assumed it covered every pattern. You have been so helpful and I appreciate your response.

Deborah, Elmer\’s white craft glue is good, or any white craft glue as long as it dries clear and is water soluble.

EGA Discussion Group 5 years agoUPDATE: The latest Needle Arts announced Taming the Stash Monster will be a Lightning Round GCC!!!!!
Are there any chapters planning on doing the Stash Monster GCC? I would love to join a group and participate.
-
I think I might be interested also, Trudy.
-
Maybe the RDs need to form a GCC!!!
-
Me, too! In this day of Zoom why not a Zoom GCC? In fact, our chapter’s last GCC did not meet in person after about 5 months, and that was before COVID. It is also true I am the only one to finish and send for evaluation so far….
How could we gauge interest and get more interested people? -
Ladies, I am a member of the Washington DC Chapter and live in Northern Virginia. Where are you all located? The one issue I can picture (from my 1 GCC) is that the systems relies on having a Class Coordinator to receive Course Materials, send in finished projects, and generally organize Stuff.
I can picture this happening in a Virtual Group.…[Read more] -
Hi Kay, I am in CO, Vera is from WV and Wendy is from WI. I’ve done GCC’s with the Rocky Mountain Webstitchers chapter, which has members in different states. For 1 class I mailed my final piece myself rather than sending to the chapter, for the other one there were 4 of us in the metro area, so we sent the pieces together to the chapter to be…[Read more]

Hey. you all might want to suggest that EGA have this course as a Lightning Round–that would help you all out! I have to do Stash Busting, too, but it’s going to take me a LLLLLOOOOONG time–I have 40 years worth of accumulation…sigh.

I agree – I have 20+ years stored all over the house

John I have looked at my colours again in light of you saying that some of the colours are to close to each other and may not be distinguishable. I would not use these in the actual needle point side by side. I have also chosen my glittery threads. I have measured out my canvas and found the centre.
The scan of the design did not quite measure…[Read more]
