Sweet bags were a very common item in Tudor households. Some were very heavily embroidered with silk and metal threads and could hold money or other small gifts as a token of friendship or in the hope of winning favor. Others were made of less costly materials and held sweet-scented herbs. These were placed in clothing or linens to perfume them or protect them from insect damage. The only bags that were kept and passed down to us were, of course, the most treasured examples that we are privileged to be able to study and admire.

Virtual Education Courses are not refundable.
