An Opportunity to Help us Preserve our Permanent Collection

Did you know that our permanent collection includes items from a few centuries back to modern day? We all love our collection and as part of our mission we work hard to treasure it and preserve it. Most EGA members have at least one favorite piece from the collection (If you don’t have a favorite yet, our gallery has a sample so you can start your list of favorites).

Many of our treasured pieces are framed or matted with or without glass.  These pieces need to be stored in muslin “pillowcases” that will help us preserve and keep them in the best shape possible.

Here is where we need your help. We need volunteers who are willing to sew new pillowcases to help us preserve pieces from our collection.

If you, your chapter, or your region would be willing to make a few cases, please contact Gwen Nelson, Collection and Library Committee Chair by email: mgtnelson@hotmail.com. She will provide the information you need regarding material and sizes. Thank You!
