Join our Mohawk Valley Chapter in New York for a Crewel Class with Teacher Kathy Andrews

The Mohawk Valley Chapter would like to invite members of EGA (and their friends) to join in our 2 day crewel class in September 2024.

National teacher Kathy Andrews will teach her Pineapple Crewelwork piece at St. Margaret’s House in New Hartford, NY on September 21-22, 2024. Kathy is both a wonderful teacher and very funny. It should be a lovely class. Beautiful textures and patterns are created using bullion and French knots as well as laid and couched work in this charming crewelwork design! The King’s Pineapple is inspired by the portrait of King Charles II of England receiving a pineapple, a coveted and uncommon gift, symbolic of royal privilege.

The class, including kit, lunch, coffee/tea, snacks will cost $250.00. Kathy and her husband will be having dinner with us at St. Margaret’s on Saturday night, you are welcome too (additional $17). For those wishing to stay at St Margaret’s, rooms are at the usual $55/night without meals or $85/night full board.

If you are interested in signing up, if you are wanting a room, or for any questions please contact Mary Willmott at marywillmott2@hotmail.com or 518-462-0131. A deposit of $100.00 (check payable to MVEGA) will be needed to hold your place,

– Mary Willmott, Vice President, Mohawk Valley Chapter
