For our January 2025 stitch-a-long on Facebook we are working on a design called Tropical Days in Crazy Quilting Style by EGA member Lisa Buckley.
Here’s more about this month’s project from stitch-a-long admin Stephanie Murphy:
“We starting our Stitch-a-long in 2025 with a Visting Teacher! Lisa Buckley volunteered to make a project just for us. THANK YOU! Lisa says: ‘I’ve been quilting and crazy quilting since 2012. Since we moved around with my husband’s job, I began crazy quilting with online lessons. I took classes from Sharon Boggon and Kathy Shaw. I am a Member at-Large with EGA and am also a member of American Quilting Society and Canadian Quilters. I do charity quilts for Quilts of Valor and Project Linus. Our permanent home is in Knoxville, TN area, but we are currently living in Plymouth.’
So, introducing dreams of Tropical Days during these dark winter months, we have a wonderful surface embroidery/crazy quilt-type project. Lisa has generated an amazing instruction booklet to take you step-by-step thru this process.
