Please read before registering: This registration is ONLY to attend the LIVE virtual lecture that will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 1PM Eastern. This registration will not give you access to the recording of this lecture. Registration for the live lecture only gives you access to the live lecture on the day and at the time it happens. A few days after the live lecture takes place, we open registration for the recorded version. Registration for the live lecture and for the recorded lecture happens separately at a price of $25/$5 each to ensure the talented lecturers receive proper compensation.

Starting from the early 17th Century up to the present day, this timeline lecture will demonstrate the changes in crewel work design styles, materials, and stitches, influenced and enhanced by the lives of the people of Britain.

From the death of Queen Elizabeth I, through James VI and I, Charles I, the middle years of Civil Wars, the Georgians, the Victorians and the Arts and Crafts era, touching on design during the 20th Century, the evolution of British crewel work has remained a reflection of the British culture.
