The Education Department is pleased to announce the newest project in the Petite Project series for EGA members, Variations on a Theme: Backstitch by Kim Sanders. One of the fun aspects of embroidery is you can take a basic stitch and create different looks by building on it in different ways. Backstitch can be stitched on any fabric, even or non-even weave. It is a strong stitch for clothing construction. This project is a holder for a purse size packet of tissues. A. It’s pretty. B. It’s a fun way to embroider something useful whether for yourself or as a gift.
We hope you enjoy this new project and will, with us look forward to other new projects. If you have a project you would like to share, contact publications@egausa.org with Petite Project in the subject line.
