Dear Needlework teacher,
The Tennessee Valley Region of The Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Inc. will hold its seminar, Share-A-Stitch, June 11-13, 2027 at the beautiful MeadowView Conference Resort and Convention Center in Kingsport, TN. Kingsport is a favorite destination for our region, nestled in the Appalachian Mountains and sitting along the Holston River, it is a vibrant city with lots of fun things to do.
The faculty selection committee will meet in late March, 2026 to select the faculty. We will need your proposals no later than March 13, 2026, to be considered. You will be advised of selections by April 6, 2026.
We are contacting teachers who may be interested in submitting proposals for two-day classes. The class schedule is half a day on Friday (1:30 to 4:30 p.m.) a full day on Saturday, June 12th (8:30 to 11:30, lunch from 11:30 to 1:30, and then class from 1:30 until 4:30 p.m.) and will conclude the morning of Sunday, June 13th from 8:30 until 11:30 a.m. Please include at least one, 2-day proposal, but you are encouraged to submit more than one.
The fee schedule for this seminar includes $450 per full day (6 hours) teaching fee as well as a private hotel room for the period of your contract. Included is either an economy round-trip air fare or mileage for teachers who drive, whichever is lower. Also included is one lunch (faculty luncheon) and one Saturday evening banquet dinner meal as well as a per diem and incidental rate of $86/day for two days.
