Using this kind of fabric never occurred to me, but I certainly will keep this approach in mind and try it sometime. It is a great learning tool to see the work of others!

Yes, you can do many of these! You may like to explore color schemes, experiment with a stitch, create different forms… Lots of possibilities to get the creative juices flowing!

Anneli thank you. The fabric is a commercial batik that you can buy at any quilt store. Many of them come looking like this, with white areas and darker & lighter areas of color. this is gorgeous! You utilized the fabric to mimic the water and then created a sea life on it by stitching. Is the fabric bought like that, or did you color it yourself?
