Medieval Needlework 8 years, 2 months agoHello! I am currently pursuing Elizabethan embroidery – blackwork, raisedwork, even tentwork. My focus in this was originally on sweet bags, but I’ve branched out to the wealth of metal thread stitches they used. Am also interested in Opus Anglicanum, Or Nué, and earlier stuff.

I visited Hampton Court Palace just after Christmas this year, and it was an Elizabethan theme to the historical interpretation, instead of following Henry VIII around. I agree that It is indeed a magnificent palace.
