Hello, I have just joined the group. I am not sure how we make ‘friends’ on here. Have you any advice?

From your profile page, scroll to see the box that says “Who’s On Line”.
Scroll in that box until you see Member Directory. Open the Directory by clicking on it. Search by a member’s name. Since you are a Member-At-Large, you probably won’t know (m)any names. So this may not be helpful right now. However, if you can pop into one of our Surface Embroidery Interest Group meetings, you will meet people and can friend them later. I wanted to start this group so that our group becomes more interactive. But it is a slow go for the moment. Please hang in there with us!

See my earlier reply. Also note that on the member directory, you can search for your city or state. Any member whose address lies there-in should also pop up. If you live in a remote area, this may be a way to connect with people who are geographically close to you.
