I am still teaching beginning knitting and crochet at the college and the recreation center, though there are more wanting to learn to crochet lately. Guess it’s the trends changing again. I proposed a class on making toys to the community college (Casper College) and this is the 3rd time offering it and the first time it has filled up. So I’m looking forward to teaching simple toys that people can donate if they want to.
My sister and I completed and donated 40 crocheted afghans to the local Seton House in Dec. 2019. We do this project every year and try for 40-50 afghans. A couple of my former crochet students have also contributed one each year to help with the total. It’s a fun project.
I have to confess I’ve been neglecting my needlework and my eyesight is part of the problem. I’m finding it hard (even with a magnifier) to see the small stitches. My Hardanger pieces have sat neglected and waiting to be finished, and I haven’t started any other needlework projects.
