“The photo below is of a scene walking down from L’Alambra in Spain which our daughter took and sent to me.

Below this is my WIP surface stitching of the scene.

My question to SIG Surface Group is – should I stitch over the pencilled branches in the top left corner of the project with a very light grey thread?  I think too much dark thread will detract the eye.   I cannot remove all the pencil outlines despite them being very light. Nancy Vouolo you kindly commented last time, as did Marilyn Evans, Lisa Dunn and a few other members of the group. If you have time to respond I would appreciate people’s thoughts.

I also plan to add more dark shades on the hillside to the right side of the picture to blend the bushes’ trunks into the vegetation.

My apologies for not pressing the work and I do hope to get a better photograph at a later date when I have found the final frame.

      Thanks  June
