Nancy, what a shame! I’m sorry I haven’t any kits left, I used every scrap of gold I ordered. You can kit your own using the supplies/materials list on the Course page.

Karen, all the running stitches are instead of stopping and starting and having ends that may come loose. I’m not a beader so I have little experience in how secure the thread is – so just over compensating. You will only need one 3mm crystal so you should be fine.

Yes, Rebecca, the Crystals are only attached at the tip of the bracelet. They may get in the way while stitching so I covered them with tissue and basted it down. I also did the same with the clasp.

HI, Rand. I registered early for the Sashiko virtual lecture and am glad to have gotten in. I printed off the description from the initial listing with the course description and other information, but my computer had a glitch printing the resource list toward the end. Now that the class is closed, that original description does not show up.…[Read more]

I am so upset with myself. I was getting ready to start the kit and cant find it anywhere. I believe I may have tossed it out with a bunch of similar looking envelopes. Not sure what I can do now. Anyway I can get another kit or find out where I can get the supplies?

Stephanie, if you leave the clasp off it will be harder to sew it on through the embroidery. However, you may be able to secure the stitches to the threads on the back of the bracelet after the embroidery is done and before you glue on the backing. The glue will also help to secure the threads that hold the clasp on.

Mary, Yes you tie a knot using the tail from the beginning and the tail in the needle. Thread each end up one at a time and stitch it back where it came from for about an inch. Here is a photo of the thread tails pinned back away. All this is just to make sure the thread is secure. I have added photos – the first shows the knot, the second…[Read more]

This was the first time I choose colors for a project. It was difficult at first as I don’t have any color sense and my local stores are closed. In any case, I cheated and ordered the same overdye threads from an online project I liked. From there, I was able to pick out others from my stash.
Canvas:French blue
Outline: dark green DMC 934,…[Read more] -
