I have not done canvas embroidery before and I do not understand what to do to “tie off” at the end of the sheaf, crescent, or ray stitches. In the same vein, what do I do with the end attached to the waste knot?

Also – Am I correct that the Trebizond and Kreinik 215C are worked with a single strand, not doubled?
