Hello Students! It is Day 2 of our first week. Please try to read over Lesson #1 and try out a Diamond Eyelet or two. I realize that some of you may be taking this course to do at a later or more convenient time, that is just fine. I believe that this discussion group is live for two months after our course ends. If you have questions and/or want to share your finished pieces with me, you all have my email address.

I am uploading a photo of a piece by Eileen Bennett called The Flax Sampler. She taught it for my home EGA Chapter many years ago. It was a lot of fun to stitch. You will see a few Diamond Eyelets in the bottom right corner. Just a few Pulled Thread stitches can make a lot of impact on a design. Hardanger, cutwork, drawn work and Pulled Thread work are popular in Christmas ornaments. One can do just a small amount of stitching and back the piece with a contrasting fabric to add a lot of sparkle to your tree. As this course continues, I will share other examples of Pulled Thread work. Enjoy your day and your stitching!
