I am currently enjoying reading Richard Winston’s book entitled Life in the Middle Ages. This is a social history which does touch on clothing construction and decorative aspects of even the peasants’ homes. From the 5th to the 15th centuries, in both countryside and cities, no aspect of life in this era is left untouched.
