The CDC created a sticker to provide those who got their Covid-19 vaccinations, so Dogwood Chapter has charted it!
You can make your very own “I Got My Covid-19 Vaccine!” button to wear proudly once you get your vaccine. It’s a super quick stitch and easy to finish. Only 5 colors, charted in DMC and Anchor and comes complete with finishing…[Read more] -

Dogwood chapter just finished up 3 days as a vendor in the Original Sewing & Quilt Expo in Atlanta. It was a fantastic event, with thousands attending, including a good number of children. We handed out 200 national brochures and over 500 chapter post cards, picked up 3 new members on the spot, and have had many more contact us for further…[Read more]

Oh, our chapter is dying to do that workshop! Did you enjoy it?
-
It was wonderful! Diane gave a lecture the day before the workshop began, on symmetry and design, which members loved. I have zero experience with canvas work and this was a perfect way to get my feet wet. We all learned how to properly lay threads, how to create random eyelets on canvas, how to stitch beads onto canvas and how to create bullion…[Read more]

I love this piece of work. Where did she teach this class and is that pattern available?
-
Hi Pamela, Diane taught it to our chapter in Atlanta, but your chapter can contract to have her come teach it for ya’ll as well. Diane’s website can be found at www.http://dianeherrmann.com/ You should speak with your VP of Programs for your chapter about bringing her in. You’d have to ask Diane if you can buy the kit without taking the class.
-
-
If you check the Walking On Water’s Edge Facebook page, Diane announced she is teaching the course on a Royal Caribbean cruise on the Anthem in 2018 or 2019.
-
I know! She’s actually going to Bermuda on that cruise and will provide participants with a choice of “pink sand” for her canvas to represent the pink sand beaches of Bermuda.
-
Thank you. I’ll keep looking for that class. Pink sand would be awesome
