Stuck at Home but Stitching 5 years, 9 months agoCorrectly doing this cute little stitch from T he Drawn Thread, using 32 ct fabric and my choice of DMC threads from my stash. Had a lot of difficulty with the vines for some reason and frogged repeatedly, but I was having a brain fog day, so that could be why.

It’s a pretty little piece! The vines look really neat, not usually a lot of fluidity or curvaceousness in cross-stitch work, so it’s nice to see that. It looks like you made it work and it looks good!

Wow! That’s so beautiful! I love whitework, and have dabbled in beginning lacework, but have never tried that style before. It looks incredibly time-costly! All those tiny filling stitches! @.@

Thank you – glad you like it. One of the things I like about it is that I am not piercing the muslin or ground cloth but rather stitching within the outline cords and above it all. The needle is always on the top of the surface. Some designs are made to be removed from the ground cloth when finished (as this angel was). It gets a “rhythm” going.
