Description
Throughout the class, participants will develop confidence and control when working with colored metal threads through hands-on practice with couching, chipping, cutwork over string padding, and shaping techniques. Students will work with a wide range of materials, including smooth passing threads, twists, pearl purl, bright check purls, smooth purls, rough purls, and rare vintage Japanese threads.

Student Provides: 8 inches hand free embroidery hoop, Goldwork embroidery scissors or embroidery scissors that you will use only to cut metals, A velvet board or soft surface to cut the metals, Mellor (optional – you can also use one of the chenille needles included in the kit), Pencil, Awl or piercing tool
