• Many thanks for your reply and friend acceptance. It has been lovely to see you at the SIG Surface Embroidery and your projects. I do so enjoy these sessions, feeling rather isolated in Cyprus where there are no local groups since Covid hit. Since then many of the attendees have returned overseas and my circumstances make it difficult to travel far as my husband is disabled, so I need to be able to return quickly if there are any falls or other catastrophes.

I am working on 22 projects at the moment and hoping to finish a crazy quilt for the autumn, with help from the SIG Crazy Quilt group. So far I have 7 blocks made and have begun stitching the seams and motifs. Such fun but slow going. I am not adding any buttons, beads or items the cat can attack. This will be a lap quilt to stop our cat from digging her claws into my legs and trousers. She likes to supervise my stitchy sessions!

Enjoy your stitching and the summer months.

    • Hi Ursula, Just a quick thank you for the great suggestion you made to arrange for our daughter and son-in-law to open up the L’Alambra view of Granada, stiched work with us being involved. They did so last night and loved the finished project. They plan to have it framed in the UK where they are currently then take it to their cave dwelling in Spain later this year. I was so pleased that they liked the outcome of translating their photo to a stiched work.
