Medieval Needlework 7 years, 11 months agoI am relatively new to stitching and am interested in seeing all of the options out there. I would love to see pictures from this time period. It just may be the niche I am looking for. Thanks for the opportunity to learn more.

This week, I finally finished my Juliana! Thank you so much for a great class. It was so much easier
to learn in class than in the GCC that I did for Isabella. I actually think that there are very few mistakes on this project!! Now I wish I had signed up for another class with you. Never mind, I’m sure that you will be teaching somewhere before…[Read more] -

Sure. Shopping in the Renaissance: Consumer Cultures in Italy 1400-1600 by Evelyn Welch (ISBN 9780300159851) Yale University Press, 2005. For me, nirvana, as it combines my passions for both the Renaissance and Italy.
I have ordered this from my local library via interlibrary loan. It is coming from the College of Charleston!
I hope you find it interesting. Took a bit of time to get through the intro but once into the heart of the book it is fascinating to imagine shopping during the renaissance.
I just took this back to the library. Very interesting, especially the chapters on Isabella d’Este and on men buying.
