Hi all,
Just thought I’d add a tip here for the lacing method for the card. It can feel like you need an extra pair of hands for lacing the fabric to the card, but start slowly and pull firmly and evenly on the thread to tighten it. If it snaps, don’t worry, just go back a couple of stitches, finish off the thread and start a new one. If it kee…[Read more]

Hi Lynette,

I am working on the box with another chapter member and we were wondering why you chose to use felt rather than quilt batting for the padding of the inside portion of the box. We both have completed our inside boxes and were pleased with how they came out.

Hi Everyone, I hope all is well with your stitching!
You’ll see there is an additional document this week. It’s a replacement page for Page 9. After reviewing the posts, I looked again at area 6 and noticed something didn’t look right. So, I took a closer look and sure enough it didn’t match the picture. I think I have it now and what you have is…[Read more]

Sarah, really good class. Have been wanting to learn how to make fabric covered boxes, so your class came at a great time.
My solution in working with a curved needle was to use a finger cot, like one would use to apply ointment. Gave me the grip I needed. Available in pharmacies in the USA.
Also found that my small box for supplies was…[Read more]

Hi everyone,
a great kit and very clear videos Sarah, thank you. I am an Australian currently living in Mexico so I especially appreciated all the supplies, as they are not easy to get here. I have completed the inner box, measurements are correct. I found the circular needle a bit tricky initially as I have not used one previously. Looking f…[Read more] -
