Is the calculator correct now?

I generally like stem stitch but the metallic thread and very fine fabric certainly adds more of a challenge. It is very helpful to have the hoop on a stand that leaves both hands free.

You’re welcome!  It’s understandable, my embroidering instincts would also tell me to stitch those lines 🙂

I’m sorry for the confusion also.  This is the first time running this class so trying to be very responsive to help all the students along!

Great question!  Sorry for the confusion, I should have explained a little more in the video and will update it.  Depending on how you would like your butterfly to look, it is up to you which ones you want to stitch.  So the bottom line in the upper wing and the line omitted in the lower wing are both optional.
